Meyer began operations in 1976 and incorportated in 1977. We have one of the most unique histories in the telemarketing industry which directly attributes its founding to the 1972 Watergate affair. At the conclusion of the Watergate investigation, President Richard Nixon's Committee to re-elect the president was required to pay financial damages to the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the the Assoc. of State Democratic Chairs (ASDC). Larry Meyer developed an innovative state-party, small donor fundraising program called the Dollars for Democrats program and presented it to the ASDC. Over the years, D4D has been a tremendous success by raising tens of millions of dollars for Democrats in all states.
As word spread about the success of D4D, we seized the opportunity to expand the scope of the operations to include a broad spectrum of Teleservices aimed at the political and non-profit sector including donor acquisition, renewal and identification, sustaining funds, club calling, internet services, voice broadcast, GOTV initiatives, voter persuasion, polling and market research.
Today, the organizations reach extends well beyond the political arena. We are also considered a leading provider of Teleservices for the publishing, non-profit and B to B/B to C industries. See the SERVICES section for more details.
